Truck Crew Cab vs. Extended Cab vs. Quad Cab Explained

Truck manufacturers have a lot of different names for cabs. But when you think about the specs, you can call there are four types actually:

1. Regular cab

2. Extended cabs

3. Crew cab

4. Extended crew cabs.

Regular cabs generally have two doors and a single row of seating. Extended cabs feature more variety among manufacturers (for example, Dodge uses the term "Quad Cab") but typically feature two rows of seats with two or four doors. Crew cabs have four front-opening doors and two rows of full-size seats, while extended crew cabs add extra storage space to the crew cab design.
